Albariño de Fefiñanes 2025
Albariño • Val do Salnés, Rías Baixas, Galicia, Spain
Lemon peel and white peach with a breezy, salty edge, bright and juicy through a clean, mouthwatering finish. Palacio de Fefiñanes makes its wine inside a 17th-century palace on the main square of Cambados, the seaside town at the heart of Rías Baixas. Their Albariño label was registered in 1928 and hasn’t changed since, which makes it one of the oldest names in Albariño, and Cristina Mantilla has been the winemaker since 1995. The fruit comes from long-term growers around Cambados: vines averaging over 40 years old, some past 100, on sandy soils just above sea level, where the Atlantic wind keeps everything fresh. Classic for a reason.
Pair it with: pulpo with smoked paprika, crusty bread, eat outside.
