Bright and fruity with fine bubbles, then orange peel, cocoa shell, and wormwood running into a citrusy, herbal, slightly spicy finish. The Blonde is Brunette’s sibling, born from the same family story: Catena matriarch Elena Maza wanted something she’d enjoy more than wine and soda. The Catena Institute of Wine builds it on verjus from early-harvest Chardonnay grown in the mountain vineyards of the Uco Valley, then infuses eucalyptus, orange peel, cocoa shell, wormwood, clove, and carqueja, an herb native to the Andes. It took Gold at The Drinks Business Global Low and No Alcohol Wine Masters in 2025, and it’s vegan. So fresh.
Pair it with: a sunset on the patio, an orange slice, a bowl of Marcona almonds.
