Outward 'Shell Creek Vineyard' Chenin Blanc 2025 Chenin Blanc • Paso Robles Highlands District, California
bright and fresh with juicy pear and lime up front, a stony, mineral edge running through the middle, and real cut from the acidity on the finish.
Outward is Ryan Pace and Natalie Siddique, who met rock climbing and started the project with two barrels of Syrah made in Ryan's dad's backyard vineyard. every wine they make is single-vineyard, single-variety, low intervention: wild yeast, neutral oak, nothing fined or filtered out. Shell Creek is own-rooted vines planted in 1971, growing in limestone-flecked soil in the Paso Robles Highlands, old vines doing what they've always done.
pair it with: oysters on the half shell (pun intended), crudos, or popcorn on the porch.
